Who are we?
We are a community of youth activists, social practitioners and community builders established in 2013 working to promote youth participation and partnership for community development across all diverse ethnic and religious divides in Sri Lanka embodying the needs and wants of the young minds.
Our work is based on inter-dependence: the idea that nothing could exist on its own. We create safe spaces for young people to go beyond ethnicity and religion, and engage in a collective effort to address their common needs and transform their communities to lead themselves in order to Learn, Expertise, Augment, and Deliver [LEAD].
- Strengthening Youth Partnerships towards Marginalized / Vulnerable Communities in post war areas in promoting socio economic empowerment and to promote feminist ideals, lead societal change, eliminate discrimination and achieve and protect the equal rights of all women and girls in all aspects of social, political and economic life.
- Awareness, Education, Research, Innovation and Development on Water and Environment in order to ensure the sustainable utilization of natural resources.
- Youth for transformation in building peace and reconciliation to heal the past, build the future through programmes which promote social integration and to give communities a greater voice.
